Russian Premier Liga club Spartak Moscow earn only 60 per cent of the money they spend, according to
Leonid Fedun - the club owner and vice president of Russia's second biggest oil company Lukoil. He said the
budget for this season is approximately 50 million dollars, and the deficit will amount to 20m.dollars. In the first half
of the year Spartak spent 31m.dollars but earned only 19m.dollars. The biggest budget in the Liga is that of league
leaders Zenit Sant Petersburg (70m.dollars). Spartak are the second, three points behind with five matches to
play. Spartak are also building their first ground at a cost of 200m.dollars. Fedun said the money is in a
separate budget. Fedun believes that the club will be able to go into profit when the new stadium opens in
2010.
