Russian Premier League leaders Zenit Saint Petersburg have doubled match ticket prices for the
forthcoming clash with last season’s champions CSKA Moscow. Zenit increased the average price to
34 euro
from 15 euro but an average salary in the city is only 485 euro. Zenit are three points above Spartak Moscow with
six matches to play this season. The club from Saint Petersburg have only won the league once before.
Tickets for the Russia-England Euro 2008 qualifying match on 17 October, meanwhile, will go on sale from 8
October. Prices will start from 10 euro and cost as much as 215 euro in the VIP sector. The game will be played on
the artificial pitch of the 84,000-capacity Luzhniki stadium.
